The Indian Navy's guided missile destroyer INS Ranjit and guided missile corvette INS Kulish are making a port call at Bangkok as part of their eastward deployment, according to Indian Navy officials.
The ships -- part of the Indian Navy's larger expeditionary eastern fleet on active duty -- have undertaken passage exercises with the navies of various countries including Indonesia, Australia and Singapore, the Indian officials say.
The naval vessels, sailing under Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet Rear Admiral P.N. Murugesan, are scheduled to return to Indian waters by mid-June.
The ships have earlier made port calls at Haiphong in Vietnam, Manila in the Philippines, Muara in Brunei and Fremantle in Australia. They will also visit Singapore and Port Kelang in Malaysia on their way home, the officials explain.

นายทหารเรืออินเดียกล่าวว่า การเข้าเยี่ยมประเทศไทยของเรือรบอินเดียครั้งนี้ มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อกระชับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างกองทัพเรือไทยและกองทัพเรืออินเดีย รวมทั้งรับการส่งกำลังบำรุง และให้กำลังพลประจำเรือพักผ่อนภายหลังปฏิบัติภารกิจทางทะเล โดยมี พลเรือตรี P.N. Murugesan ผู้บัญชาการกองเรือภาคตะวันออก กองทัพเรือสาธารณรัฐอินเดีย เดินทางมากับเรือในครั้งนี้ด้วย
