'Red Thorn' in the country 'หนามแดง' ไปบ้านนอก

'Red Thorn' Sherpa accompanies me on a trip to my little 'hideout' -- a vacation house in the provincial outback -- recently. Here, it does a leisure roaming around the vast paddy fields while I enjoy fresh air and non-existent traffic for a change (not missing Bangkok).

เจ้า "หนามแดง" มีโอกาสออกไปเที่ยวชมท้องถิ่นชนบทเมื่อเร็วๆนี้

  1. Beautiful bike and photos, makes me want to clean my 29 year old chrome molly touring bike on which I have ridden thousands of kilometer around the world:)

  2. Hello Andrew,

Thanks for your kind comments. You might have noticed that "Red Thorn" is just a plain rookie and hasn't been decked out for any of my potential serious cycling tours, which I hope would occur in a not-faraway future. Some of my other light-hearted tours in the older posts were made with the Surly Long Haul Trucker. Glad that "Red Thorn" has inspired you to dig up the 29-yr chromoly touring bike for a comeplete cleanup. Just go ahead and have a good time.

Having checked roughly into your rollingbicycletours.blogspot, I think you have many interesting trips lively described in the blog. You must have had very good experience in your travelling leg along Thailand's Chanthaburi and Rayong beaches through to Pattaya, a long stretch of seashore where I also have been somewhat familiar with. I also have an access to a lovely "hideout" right on one of Rayong's nicest beachfronts, not far from where you stayed.

As fellow cyclists, you will always be welcome back to Thailand anytime.
I'll keep reading on your blog, old and new posts :)

    Cheers
    Odz
